I was able to generate a skybox for my game project using settings that one of the people here on the forum was able to help me get the way I needed.

I thought I would post some screen-shots from my project I am working on so people can see how it looks.

I was wondering does anyone know what the settings are to generate a cloud sky like in this user made skybox?

I have to do a new skybox up for the new worldmap and was wanting to give it a more grayish rainy cloud look like above for the skybox

I can't remember the exact settings used in that render but it was an image using this exact cloud layer, that I've found in an old editing.tgd.
The main difference seems to be the smallest scale of the density fractal is smaller here than it is in the image you showed above.

Just select the file using Open from the File Menu.

Ok just a quick question. I am doing the rendering but it keeps putting the terrain in. I do not need the terrain since game play takes place up in the sky with the clouds below the player and open air above. how do I turn off the ground terrain?

Uncheck 'render surface' in the 'planet' node.

Oh, I get it now. It's a 'paths' puzzle type game. Cool. I used to play Lemmings on my Amiga. Great game.

No its an RTS remake, players bridge to un-captured islands and capture them by building outposts. there are no attack units except buildings so players must carefully place attack buildings to knock out defenses on enemy islands and then capture them and fight through the island chains to the other players main islands and destroy the enemy's temple and capture his priest. the only movable units that can be clicked on and told where to move are priests and resource collectors.

I was still puzzled why there would be cannons in a paths game. So far it looks cool. Keep working, it's interesting.
